Armed Robbers Take Over Ijebu-Ode
The people of Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State can no longer sleep with their eyes closed as armed robbers have besieged the community carting away valuables and inflicting pains on the people.
Eye witness accounts{name with held} revealed that the robbers operated in the night carting away generators, Okadas, building materials among other valuables. This is a development that has thrown the community into disarray as people count their losses.
Business owners selling provisions among other food items were not left behind as shops were burgled while goods worth several thousands of naira were carted away, threatening business operations in the community.
It was revealed that the people have lost confidence in the various security agencies as events have showed that the Nigerian security architecture was designed only to protect the rich and leave the less privileged to suffer in the hands of oppressors terrorising the people.
One of the inhabitants of Ijebu-Ode, while narrating his ordeal, recounted how his house was burgled and valuables worth substantial amount were removed, inflicting pains on his business.
